We were pleased to have David Boyle from Mint Asset Management share his views on some key financial planning concepts and principles with us.
Trilogy's Investment Specialist, Chiti, has known David for over 20 years and David is well-known for his passion in financial capability with 39 years in the financial services industry.
David has worked for the Commission for Financial Capability (CFFC), providing his viewpoints to the government and regulators on KiwiSaver, helping to get financial capability in schools, and getting the good word out any way possible to help Kiwis improve their overall financial wellbeing.
Before moving to CFFC, David held General Manager roles with ANZ Wealth in distribution and funds management and was a member of its leadership team.
In this session, we covered three main questions.
1. What is your advice to investors operating in this Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) world?
2. What is sequencing risk and how can we manage it?
3. What are the benefits of Dollar-Cost-Averaging (DCA) and should investors continue DCA during a downturn?
